Can't adjust midi music volume in WINDOWS XP

Description

In Windows XP, the midi volume cannot be adjusted. This is a known issue for windows Vista/7, but should not happen in XP. The problem occurs in Beta 6.8. I am unsure when the problem started, but the midi volume seems to work just fine in beta 6.4.

Closing as an obsolete issue. IMO we should start ramping down Windows XP support.
