CTD when accessing control configuration

Description
When accessing the 2nd page of the Configure Controls dialog, while at the title screen (prior to any level loading), the game the game will crash to desktop.
Snowberry does not crash with it.
Version 1.9.0-beta4, on OSX 10.4.8 Intel, Macbook, 1GB ram.
This was repeated 4 times sequentially. Moving onwards into the levels seemed to alleviate it.
