Description

It would be a great help to Doomsday noobs if Doomsday had a special sort of zip file, containing the .box addon folder, and when double clicked, doomsday would recognise it and have it automatically extracted to the doomsday\snowberry\addons folder, like with windowblinds .wba format, that is merely a zip file, but it gets automatically recognised with windowblinds.

Like maybe a .box zip file containing the .box folder.

From an ease-of-use point of view, this is a good idea. I think it would involve registering Snowberry (or some helper app) in the Windows shell as the handler of .box (and other addon) files.

Closing this as obsolete. libdeng2 already has the ability to treat .zips just like ordinary folders, and resource packaging will be moved to FS2 sooner or later.

Besides, #1600.
