Description

Hello,

I get a black screen when I try to start Doomsday 1.14.0 with Anti-aliasing set to 24x or 24xEQ on my AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card. Driver version is 13.11 release.

If I set the graphics driver FSAA to 12x or 12xEQ, Doomsday works as usual, but not with 24x/24xEQ.

However, if I set graphics drv AA to 12x and start Doomsday, while the program works as mentioned, the AA is completely switched off. Doesn't matter if the in-program AA is set to on or off.

Also, if I turn off the in-program FSAA, and start Doomsday, I can actually run the program even if the graphics driver AA is set to 24x. But the AA is still disabled in the game.

So to sum it up, the problems I have is that the only way for me to have FSAA enabled, is to have program-controlled AA. And the issue with that a black screen appears if I set driver controlled AA to 24x/24xEQ.

Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about this at the moment. I don't have access to any Windows systems running AMD drivers so I could test and debug Doomsday's behavior under driver-overridden settings.

I see. I'm not a programmer of any kind but let me know if I can do any testing to help fix this.
