Redmine Doomsday Engine - Feature #2156 (New): [HeXen] Make map numbering more consistent (warp cheats vs...https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/21562016-04-02T12:50:02Zvermil

The level warping cheats use the mapinfo map numbers, but the Dday UI and HeXen's automap use the real map numbers.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #1893 (New): Automap drawing difference to original gameshttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/18932014-11-04T00:17:27Zvermil

Doomsday will only draw lines behind a mid texture, if there is a see through element on the graphic being used as a mid texture.

All the vanilla games however, will always draw lines behind a mid texture (regardless of whether the mid texture has any see through parts).

Doomsday's approach is naturally, more realistic, but vanilla is vanilla.
Doomsday Engine - Feature #1602 (New): Improvements for map title in automaphttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/16022013-10-18T13:56:34Zskyjake

add "map-title" cvar to enable automap title specifically

make display of map number optional

Doom: option to always use the Map Info name (override CWILV) like in Heretic/Hexen

Doom|Heretic: display the ExMy number rather than ID (add option)

Hexen: display the "warp" map number rather than the ID (add option)

Hexen: show hub number instead of map number

when screen size shrunk => title goes downward (scaling issue)

Doomsday Engine - Bug #1067 (New): White player arrow missing on automaphttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/10672012-07-21T02:36:06Zsonicdoommariosonicdoommario@users.sourceforge.net

The white arrow representing the player on the autmap does not appear on my new laptop. I have a Dell Latitude 5420 with an Intel Processor Graphics 3000 video card. This video card has the latest driver (8.15.10.2761).

I have not had this problem on any other computer that I have owned. I can even produce this problem with any earlier build of Doomsday, whether stable or unstable.

However, when I use IDDT to reveal everything on the map, all of the objects appear without a problem, but the white arrow representing the player still does not show up on the automap.

Attached is a picture showing the automap with no white player arrow.

Let me know if any additional information is needed.

I'd like to suggest a control bind for the automap, that hides all lines linked to things that don't block the players path.

I.e the button would remove all but 1 sided walls, changes in floor height greater than 24 and ceilings that are too low for the player to fit under.
Doomsday Engine - Feature #1566 (New): [Automap] Reset line colorshttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/15662012-07-13T20:49:05Zvermil

I'd like to suggest an option to reset the automap line colours to their defaults; I might change them and later want to change some or all of them back, but not remember the original RGB values.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #966 (Progressed): [Doom] Use of CWILV graphics on automaphttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/9662011-07-20T17:20:40Zvermil

Some Doom pwads replace the CWILV graphics with large amounts of text (i.e. story text) or screenshots.

Notable examples of pwads that do this are the unofficial commercial wads Perditions Gate and Hell 2 Pay.

It looks a bit silly when Dday displays these CWILV graphics in the Map Title and/or automap. In the above mentioned wads it leads to the Map Title displaying story text meant to be seen by the player at the end of the level.

In a smaller and probably negiable issue. The original Doom and Doom2 maps E3M7 and Map11 feature different automap names to their CWILV; "Limbo" and "O of Destruction", rather than "Gate to Limbo" and "Circle of Destruction" respectively. Since Dday began using CWILV graphics on the automap, these alternate map names are no longer displayed by Dday.
