Redmine Doomsday Engine - Bug #2165 (Closed): [2019] Automap visualization brokenhttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/21652016-07-13T08:34:04Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Presently the whole automap visualization appears to be missing, map title aside. May have occurred much earlier than this build.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2120 (New): Failed to reject MAPINFO data in ZDoom-extended syntax (requir...https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/21202015-10-11T22:17:02Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

The ZDoom-extended
MAPINFO
syntax makes a various changes to the Hexen syntax (supported). While the existing parser detects and handles the majority of these changes gracefully, there is however a couple of previously required definition statement parameters which have been made optional in the ZDoom-extended syntax:

The second scrolldelta parameters of
Map.sky1
/
Map.sky2
are no longer required (default: 0)

Presently, the MAPINFO parser in idtech1converter fails to handle this correctly.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2103 (Closed): [Windows] Doomsday reacts to Qt key 16777250 (Windows key)https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/21032015-07-18T03:54:35Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Presently Doomsday logs a warning whenever the Windows key (Qt key 16777250) is pressed. Doomsday should ignore this key and do nothing.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2102 (Closed): [Windows] Updater does not launch installer (2.0)https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/21022015-07-18T03:06:57Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Attempting to install an update downloaded using the built-in updater on Windows does not actually launch the installer. Doomsday still does the necessary checks for running processes and shuts down as expected.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2049 (Closed): Inadequate minimum OpenGL version detection/handling (Windows)https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20492015-05-13T10:08:11Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

The default display driver on Windows 7 does not support OpenGL 2.0 (or later) resulting in the Doomsday client failing to start. The client either does not display an error dialog or, the standard Windows "An error has occurred" dialog is displayed instead. At the very least a native dialog should be displayed, presenting a user friendly description of the problem and allowing the user to terminate the client gracefully.

Furthermore, it is not possible to use QtCreator to debug this issue because the IDE itself requires OpenGL to function at all.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2041 (New): Clipping issue in Hexen MAP10 - Wastelands near {x:160, y:-3248}https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20412015-05-09T00:15:47Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Seemingly a logic error in the map renderer, occlusion ranges added for the polyobj geometry result in geometry behind the polyobj being clipped, thus no skymask geometry is drawn, resulting in HOM. In the situation where a polyobj wall segment resides in a subspace with one or more skymasked plane then no occlusion ranges should be added(?)
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2040 (Closed): Auto-completion popup widget width changes when scrollinghttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20402015-05-08T23:23:00Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

When scrolling through the auto-completion suggestions the popup widget's width changes according the width of the longest visible suggestion. For example, try to complete the partial word "rend-dev-"
Doomsday Engine - Feature #2016 (Closed): "Portable app" package (app contained in a folder, with...https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20162015-04-24T19:42:34Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Many Windows users find installers inconvenient and in certain situations, they'd prefer a so-called "portable application" package, where all components are delivered in a Zip that can unpacked anywhere.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_application
Doomsday Engine - Feature #2015 (Progressed): Remove server-side audio systemhttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20152015-04-22T05:37:52Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Servers do not need to playback audio. On server-side all audio can be boiled down to much more concise "remote event scheduler". As such, there is no need for a audio system because remote event scheduling can and should be generalized for any purpose.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2007 (New): [Hexen] Mana given when collecting already-owned, fourth-weapo...https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20072015-03-30T18:26:41Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Presently when one attempts to pickup a piece of the fourth-weapon the amount of mana (a.k.a. ammo) given is not always correct. For example; assemble the Quietus, fire some rounds and then attempt to collect another piece - the player should be given an equal amount of each type of mana - yet that does not always happen.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #2006 (Closed): [MP] Automap and Inventory left open on player deathhttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/20062015-03-30T18:20:39Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Game logic assumes that when the player dies their Automap and Inventory is closed. Presently these HUDs remain open in a networked-game.

This should considered symptomatic of more serious issues. Indeed, P_KillMobj() is currently charged with various tasks that simply won't function as expected in a networked-game (its called on server-side, not locally).
Doomsday Engine - Feature #1996 (Progressed): Engine-managed "map spot / point of interest" mecha...https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/19962015-03-13T15:53:51Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

A fundamental requirement for runtime map editing. The engine should provide a mechanism for managing map spots used by the game(s) for spawning map-objects (and various other purposes).

Currently a fairly clunky mechanism is used to make this info available on game side (the "GMO" API) for this purpose. This should be replaced with an engine-managed mechanism for managing map spots.
Doomsday Engine - Bug #1953 (Closed): [Multiplayer] Enemy hitscan based attacks off target (co-op)https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/19532015-01-28T21:52:38Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Evidently all enemy hitscan -based attacks are currently off target on the world up axis, in multiplayer.
Doomsday Engine - Feature #1944 (Rejected): Master audio volume sliderhttps://tracker.dengine.net/issues/19442015-01-12T21:17:23Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

It would be useful if the provided a "master volume" slider which proportionately affects all volume controls at once.
Doomsday Engine - Feature #1943 (Closed): [Windows] Menu key should show task bar (now produces d...https://tracker.dengine.net/issues/19432015-01-12T21:12:12Zdanijdanij@dengine.net

Pressing the contextual menu key on a Windows keyboard yields an alert about an unknown key code. Ideally pressing this key would reveal the task bar.
